LP Cobb Prepares for Marietta Freedom Parade

Everyone loves a parade and being in it is better then standing on the sidelines. Come join us for the Marietta Freedom Parade on Saturday, July 4th. Prep work begins around 8:00 AM. The parade begins at 10:00 AM.

Meet at Roswell Street Baptist Church: 774 Roswell St SE, Marietta, GA 30060-2178 (Click here for a map.)

Volunteers are needed at 8am to assemble the float and get it decorated. Bring your staple gun, if you have one. We will be assembling the same design as last year with our replica of the Liberty Bell as the focal point. It's not hard work, but extra hands make the job easier. Matt Godown is coordinating the project.

Parade participants need to arrive by 9:30am. People will be directing where to park in the neighborhood around the church. Wear your red, white and blue and bring a small flag to wave if you have one. The parade will end at the Cobb 911 Emergency Boilding on Cherokee Street and then we will return to the church for float break down.

There will be plenty of activities on the Marietta Square throughout the day. Click here for more details. Bring some sun screen and a hat. It will be fun and the folks along the parade route will be reminded that they are "the true guardians of liberty."
